Oud-Heverlee Leuven, also called OHL, is a Belgian football club from Leuven. Its stadium, the Stadion Den Dreef, is located south of Leuven in Heverlee, where we designed the wayfinding system a few years ago. In 2022, we had the opportunity to extend the project to its training center in Oud-Heverlee, Belgium. The site is situated in a large green area and has a structure of seven football fields. The challenge was to facilitate the circulation of different audiences. We started from the same concept that we developed for the stadium project but understood the characteristics and specific uses of the Training Center. As the campus has a large area and the distances are enormous, we added simplified maps showing the layout of the football fields, access, purchase of tickets, changing rooms and cafeteria. The vibrant and contrasting chromatic palette, making a composition with abundant trees, brought an interesting aesthetic effect and functionality to the site.
