Oud-Heverlee Leuven, also known as OHL, is a football club in the city of Leuven, Belgium. Founded in 2002 from the merger of three clubs, OHL currently plays in the Belgian professional league’s top division.
In the first phase of their stadium’s renovation, 2016-2017, the east end grandstand was demolished and replaced with one that includes private boxes, a press area, and facilities for the players. This increased the capacity of the stadium to 10,000 seats and, after anticipated renovations are completed, it will hold up to 12,500 fans.
STUDIOMDA provided the external wayfinding system which connects the stadium with the city through marked access points. The use of vibrant colors and robust solutions correspond with the grand proportions of the environment and allow the system to be easily grasped even upon first arrival. It safely guides fans and visitors on match days, and also organizes the flow of cars and pedestrians within the stadium grounds during special events and on non-match days.
