Stok Center, a large wholesale chain in Southern Brazil, recently opened its 36th store and has been implementing new market positioning strategies. To complement these strategies, we developed a standardized wayfinding system for the new facilities. Our objective was to reinforce the brand’s identity and promote an even stronger connection with customers.

Given the growth in demand for affordable products, Stok Center identified the need to modernize its stores and improve the consumer experience by merging a cash-and-carry model with retail while preserving the company’s core economics.

The system we developed not only facilitates navigation, it enables the shopping experience to be more accessible and universal and ‘gives an extra TOK’ (a Stok Center slogan) to its facilities. Due to the stores’ size, this system adds high-impact visual elements at scales that dialogue with this type of commerce, promoting greater interaction and a feeling of belonging for its customers. Beyond simply informing, we want to enrich these environments and provide a better experience by making it more seamless, intuitive and engaging.

Our design was based on a detailed analysis of operations and logistics together with customer profiles and behavior. Field observations informed our design team meetings, rendering valuable insights and finally a robust system that uses vibrant colors and shapes carefully attuned with Stok Center’s identity. The visual proposal is modular, highly functional and brand-integrated, and it transforms these environments by balancing innovation and accessibility to engage with its audience.
